Matthew Schonewille

Shortly after completing his Bachelor of Education, Matthew decided to pursue another beloved interest: photography – first, with commercial and corporate work, then wedding photography, where to this day he continues to enjoy great success. Not one to neglect any of his passions, Matthew next found himself returning to education, this time with Henry's School of Imaging, where he not only happily shares his knowledge and enthusiasm for photography, but also reveals his exceptional talent for simplifying the learning process for all his students.

David Benson at Kenaston Location

A former teacher and school administrator, David has enjoyed photography ever since his Dad gave him his first camera, a Kodak Hawkeye Brownie. After experimenting with the basics and shooting film, David converted to the digital world. To stay inspired, he reads books and magazines and shares his love of photography with fellow enthusiasts.

Daniel Crump

Daniel Crump at Empress Location

Daniel has been a keen photographer since he was given his first film camera at the age of five. Today he shoots both digitally and with film and works as a full time freelance photographer. Along with his freelance work, Daniel is also the Photo Editor at the Uniter, a weekly urban paper in Winnipeg. Daniel also loves to teach and share his experiences as a photographer with anyone who'll listen. He feels the best way to learn is by doing and tries to incorporate as much hands on activity into his classes as possible. When Daniel doesn't have a camera in his hands he enjoys Aussie rules football, cycling and surfing.

Derek Martens

Derek Martens at Kenaston Location

When Derek picked up a camera as a teenager it opened the door to a new passion. Professionally trained in Winnipeg, Derek has photographed a wide variety of subjects, ranging from local weddings to foreign landscapes. He also deeply enjoys helping people untangle the technical web that photography can sometimes weave – mostly because of the even higher level of excitement that lies ahead for his students once they learn to see the beauty and art that can be captured through a lens.

Lori Buhlman

Lori Buhlman at Halifax Location

Lori is a graduate of the Creative Photography program at Humber College in Toronto, completing her degree all while working as a Photo Restoration Technician. Currently, Lori also works as an Administrator and Lead Photographer for Marathon Photos on the East Coast. She specializes in Child Photography and is an avid Bird Photographer. Teaching allows Lori to not only share her technical knowledge with others, but to also enthusiastically express her creative nature. Her energy and passion towards photography are both profound and contagious, making it just about inevitable for her students to get as excited about photography as she is.

Matt Glover

Matt Glover at Dartmouth Location

Since a young age Matt has always felt a passion for photography. His knowledge of the craft, along with his ten years' experience in photographic retail and his outgoing, buoyant personality have together created in him the enthusiastic, friendly teacher from which all students love to learn.

Jacqueline Bloye

Jacqueline Bloye at Sudbury Location

Jacqueline currently resides in Northern Ontario, where she has easy access to the wild. She has an interest in wireless flash photography and an education in Pattern Drafting. She uses her skills and spare time to draft and construct custom camera cases, and loves the challenge of taking photographs that showcase the beauty of the natural world.

Elyse Booth

Elyse Booth at London Location

Being an educator comes naturally to Elyse. Her passion for photography, people, and technology all contribute to her professional pedagogy. Elyse attained her Bachelor of Education from the University Institute of Technology. She also has a degree in Media Theory & Productionon from University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College. Elyse's dynamic personality and positive energy facilitates learning for all of her students.

Nick Brokalakis

Nick Brokalakis at Windsor Location

Nick is a young, accomplished, and passionate photographer from Windsor who specializes in lighting and flash photography. He enjoys shooting portraits, weddings, landscapes, and extreme sports and is highly proficient with several products in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Lightroom. A strong team player, he enjoys passing along his skills to students.

Andre Paraskevas

Christine Buijs at Toronto Location

Christine is a photographer and filmmaker with a passion for visual arts, drama, and the weird and wonderful. A graduate of Sheridan College, she began her career working on music video sets. As a photographer, she has documented a number of talented artists and celebrities including Twilight Director Catherine Hardwicke and actors Laura Vandervoort, Corey Sevier, and John Bregar. She is actively working on several new short film projects as Director and Cinematographer.

Brennan Caverhill

Brennan Caverhill at Toronto Location

Born and raised in the Maritimes, Brennan is a photographer, educator, and biologist. He has been making pictures since he was tall enough to borrow his mother's 35mm SLR camera from her desk as a boy, and hasn't stopped since. Although he has good command of his cameras and the physics of photography, he knows he still has so much to learn, and revels in the opportunity to explore the art & science of photography together with Henry's School of Imaging students.

Rob Corrado

Rob Corrado at Toronto Location

Rob is a Toronto-based, nationally accredited photographer whose work has been featured in various magazines and newspaper publications, and includes the world-renowned Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. He has been an instructor at the School of Imaging for over 7 years, and has the ability to deliver even the most complicated material in an understandable, straightforward and friendly manner.

Jorge DaSilva

Jorge DaSilva at Toronto Location

Driven by his passion for photography, computers and his experience as an English teacher, Jorge became the original instructor when Henry's launched its School of Imaging in 2001. Years later, Jorge still exudes the same passion and enthusiasm in the classroom as he did more than a decade ago. Whether it's about cameras, lighting, software or just about anything else related to digital imaging, Jorge brings to the classroom his experience, knowledge and his selfless passion to share it all every time he teaches.

Nick Dubecki

Nick Dubecki at Sudbury Location

Currently living in Sudbury, Nick has been working with digital photography and retouching since 1986. As well as teaching at Henry's School of Imaging, he runs a fine art reproduction business and is a practicing artist with an active exhibition schedule.

Deanna Flinn

Deanna Flinn at Pickering Location

Deanna graduated from Nova Scotia Community College in her home town of Halifax with a diploma in photography and digital imaging. Shortly thereafter she continued her education at the University of British Columbia where she finished with a degree in multimedia – all while working commercially in photography in the city of Vancouver. Deanna has exhibited her photography in Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver – and the US Virgin Islands, where she resided for 4 years. In the summer of 2012 Deanna became a part of the Henrys team, first in Pickering and then as an Instructor for its School of Imaging. Teaching has been a passion of Deanna's – from her days in Vancouver at a private art institute to today with the School of Imaging, where she consistently shows her exceptional talent for making photography accessible and easy to understand for all who attend her classes.

Jason Fredin

Jason Fredin at London Location

Jason became addicted to photography in 1993, when he used his uncle's Pentax K1000 camera. He was exposed to digital photography at Fanshawe College and although he shoots primarily digital, he enjoys the discipline that film requires. Jason currently shoots portraits and commercial images, and volunteers his photographic abilities in order to give back to the community.

Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia at Toronto Location

Daniel has followed his passion for photography since first discovering it in the early years of high school. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from Ryerson University and has worked as an artist and freelance photographer for over 8 years. He has exhibited his work in galleries across Toronto and currently divides his time between portrait, fashion, travel and art photography. As an instructor for the School of Imaging for over the past 5 years, he uses his enthusiasm for photography to share his knowledge in an interesting and comprehensive manner.

Darren Hatt

Darren Hatt at London Location

Darren is a passionate photographer with a wide set of photographic skills, and diplomas in both Photography and Fine Arts from Fanshaw College. He has photographed weddings, portraits and landscapes, contributes to iStock Photo, and has over 12 years of experience working with Photoshop.

Victor Holowczenko at Ancaster Location

Victor's studies at the Ontario Collage of Art & Design intertwined Photography and Art and lead to more focused studio training at Humber Collage. The result was a successful corporate communication business that included a large photo studio and a creative design team. His greatest joy is seeing his students discover their own abilities and travel down the road of photography.

Martin Ingles at Newmarket Location

Martin first picked up a 35mm SLR in high school and by university his Archeological projects lead to many photo applications. An avid traveller, he believes that photography is an art form that evokes an emotion. He began teaching in 1977 and his drive to communicate through photography has directed his passion to teach photography to others.

George Karam

George Karam at Nepean Location

George works professionally as a wedding and portrait photographer. A graduate of Algonquin's Science Technician - Photographic program, he works on everything from corporate and commercial to family and group portraits. Believing the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, he shares his passion for photography with others as a teacher at the School of Imaging.

Paul Kelly

Paul Kelly at Toronto Location

Paul Kelly is an Adobe® Certified Expert in Photoshop®, Illustrator® and InDesign® with over fifteen years experience teaching graphic applications on both Mac and Windows in advertising and corporate environments, community colleges and private institutions. He also runs a design business providing freelance creative, layout and design for everything from advertising and package design to web sites and interactive presentations.

Ted Kloske

Ted Kloske at Windsor Location

Ted is the Store Manager of the Henry's Windsor location and has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. Owner of a downtown Windsor photo studio and trained as a photojournalist, photography assignments have taken him all across Canada and North America. He brings experience in commercial photography, portraiture and studio lighting, as well as wedding, travel, and event photography, and is just as passionate about teaching as he is about taking photos.

Danielle Koren

Danielle Koren at Vaughan Location

With a lifelong enthusiasm for photography and design, Danielle has been renowned for her creative, professional and inspirational work. She has completed assignments for businesses, non-profit, and community benefit organizations. She believes in giving back to her community and openly shares her knowledge and expertise with her students.

Rick Kowalczykowski

Rick Kowalczykowski at Cambridge Location

Rick began his career as a professional photographer after graduating from Conestoga College's Photographic Arts program. Rick's studio, Icon Photography Inc. recently celebrated its 25th year in business, specializing in commercial and corporate photography, as well as art reproduction and wide format fine art printing.

Jim Lamont

Jim Lamont at Ottawa Location

Jim is an award-winning photographer who has been involved with photography since 1977. His photographs have been published in Canadian Geographic, including a cover photograph, and he has had shows at various galle ries in Ottawa. He started PeregrinePrints, a company dedicated to working with photographers to make fine art quality prints at affordable prices, and teaches both camera and computer-based courses at the School of Imaging.

Warre Liebmann

Warren Liebmann at Thornhill Location

Warren's eclectic career has included work in the fields of advertising, aerial, architecture, aviation, fashion, food, location, portraiture, sports and wildlife photography. He completed a 3-year photography degree at Technikon Natal, the oldest and largest school of photography in the Republic of South Africa, where he owned his own studio. His clients include Bombardier, Canada Trust, General Motors, and TD Bank.

Francis Livingston

Francis Livinsgton at Toronto Location

Francis developed an interest in photography at the age of 17 and went on to pursue his formal photographic education at both Sheridan College and The New School of Social Research in New York City. A documentarian at heart, he has a solid foundation in photographic and dark room techniques and has exhibited his work at the Contact Photography Festival.

Cyndal Lorch

Cyndal Lorch at Oakville Location

Born with a passion for creativity and the arts, Cyndal fell into photography while pursuing a post-secondary education in another field. After transferring into the Digital Photography and Imaging program at the Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology in Barrie, she realized it was the beginning of her life-change. In the following years she has been working for various companies and studios, photographing a wide range of subjects locally and abroad, including: portraits, real estate, golf courses, product and landscapes.

Joseph Marranca

Joseph Marranca at Mississauga Location

Joseph is a creative conceptual commercial photographer. He shoots for advertising agencies, editorial magazines worldwide, corporate and fashion clients that include Harper Collins Publishing, Visa, Sobey's and Rogers Media. He has an extensive knowledge of photography, digital capture and photo manipulation, and enjoys watching his students acquire new skills.

Bob Menard

Bob Menard at Scarborough Location

Bob's passion for photography is readily apparent when he teaches or speaks at events. He believes that the enthusiasm he exudes is an essential part of truly connecting with students and getting them excited about learning. Whether they are focusing on the basics, discovering new techniques or finding different ways to view the world around them, Bob brings a uniquely relatable and often humorous approach to educating. While he makes his living shooting Weddings, Events & Portraits, he also makes time to feed his passion by traveling at every opportunity in search of awe inspiring Landscapes, Wildlife and Cultures.

Glen Neville

Glen Neville at Mississauga Location

Glen has a photography career that has spanned almost 35 years. An accomplished wedding, portrait and commercial photographer, he's been immersed in the wholesale and retail side of the industry in various management positions, and has a strong background in public speaking.

Tim OLett

Tim O'Lett at Ottawa Location

An Ottawa resident, Tim spent 20 years as a photojournalist and has worked as both Director of Photography for the Athlete Information Bureau and as Chief Photographer for the Canadian Olympic Association. He has covered numerous games including the Winter and Summer Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, and his sport and commercial photos have graced full pages in Canadian magazines and the walls of international exhibits. He has owned his own photo studio for the past decade, and teaches at the School of Imaging.

Andre Paraskevas

Andre Paraskevas at Vaughan Location

As a graduate from OCAD with over 10 years of experience teaching at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Andre has a passion for image making. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and goes beyond all the 'technical stuff'. He is compelled to help others create images that can convey a feeling and an idea.

Trevor Pottelberg

Trevor Pottelberg at London Location

Trevor is a professional photographer who has earned numerous awards for his landscape photography. He runs a successful photography business, specializing in weddings and family portraiture. He earned two Photography diplomas from Fanshawe College, and now teaches in their Photography program. He also teaches at the School of Imaging, where he has access to the latest products and technology.

Bill Smith

Bill Smith at Windsor Location

A lifelong enthusiast of both sports and nature photography, Bill brings a combined personal passion for photography and a background in teaching to become one of the main instructors at the School of Imaging in Windsor. He is Professional Sports Photographer for St. Clair College, and develops and teaches photography classes at both St. Clair College and Henry's School of Imaging.

Phil Zoratto

Phil Zoratto at Ottawa Location

Phill Zoratto is a well traveled photography instructor, teaching from Bermuda to Costa Rica to Northern Canada. He has experience shooting weddings, portraits, events/competitions and real estate. Working with Fine Art prints, Phill has an understanding of the intricate details of editing and printing on multiple media types. When shooting for himself, he enjoys landscape and wildlife photography as well as macro and abstract. Phill has been working with the SOI for a number of years, and is passionate about delivering all information using understandable, simple method.

Graham Kennedy

Graham Kennedy at St. John's Location

Graham is known for his wonderful large scale photographs in which he captures small town life through the nostalgic lens of county fairs, parades and other events. Peeling back the layers of these weekend attractions, Graham explores the mechanisms of recognition, and the role of the camera in the depiction. Graham was an invited artist at the Art Gallery of Ontario in October 2009, followed by a solo show at OZ Gallery Toronto in Nov 2010. In May 2011 he returned, appearing in a group show The New Photography. He recently completed his first silent film On Examining Overlapping Thoughts and hosted a successful POP UP ART Show at Eastern Edge Gallery. Graham brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the School of Imaging's classroom – topped with an eager spirit to help.

Marc Lafreniere

Marc Lafreniere at St. John's Location

Marc is a wedding photographer based out of St. John's, has worked in the Orléans, Sudbury, and St. John's Henry's locations, and has an extraordinary amount of passion towards the art of photography. He is also a regular guest speaker for St. John's local photography club; Camera 35.
